Executive Director

Dr. Thomas L. Bohnert has lived in Chiang Mai, Thailand since 2007.  He has worked with HandClasp Foundation since 2013.  Thomas was Project Coordinator for 6 years before becoming the Executive Director of HandClasp in 2018.  Dr. Bohnert is passionate about helping communities find cost efficient solutions to their community needs.  He desires to focus on solving problems at the system level, so that the solutions go beyond fixing the initial need to providing community members and leaders with the skills needed for on-going problem solving.  He holds degrees in Electrical Engineer and Theology.  Dr. Bohnert believes that holistic solutions are best; solutions must include meeting physical, emotional, and spiritual needs in order fa community to truly develop.

In his free time, Dr. Bohnert likes to garden, read, and riding his HP Velotechnik Scorpion trike.
